What do I need to prepare for my dog's appointment?

We’ll bring all our grooming supplies needed to care for your pup. All we ask of you is a clear space with a sink or tub, access to an outlet and a towel you use for your fur baby. We reccommend having a favourite treat or toy ready nearby to help keep them at ease. Please ensure they are able to use the bathroom before the appointment to prevent accidents. Then, you’re all set!

Can I stay with my dog during the groom?

We understand wanting to be there for your pet, but assure you the best thing for them is one-on-one time with our groomers. This reduces anxiety for your pet and allows them to bond with and trust our groomers over time. Therefore we ask owners not to enter the space during grooming. However, you will always be a text or phone call away if there are any concerns. Any special requirements or instructions can also be discussed and planned together with the groomer to provide the best possible experience.

Do you charge a travel fee?

Yes, a small travel surcharge applies to appointments more than 10 km from our home base (near M4G Postal Code).

This fee helps cover transportation time and costs so we can continue offering calm, one-on-one care in your home.

Travel Fee Breakdown:

• 10–14.9 km → $20

• 15–19.9 km → $25

• 20–24.9 km → $30

• 25–29.9 km → $35

• 30 km max → $40 flat

• Over 30 km → Please contact us first to check availability

Your exact travel fee will be confirmed after booking and charged after your appointment.

Do you groom aggressive or anxious dogs?

We specialize in gentle, low-stress grooming—especially for pups who don’t do well in busy salons. We pride ourselves in having great experience with anxious and nervous dogs. That said, we won’t push any dog past their limits or put our groomers in harm’s way. If you’re unsure, let’s chat before booking. Any pups that have prior bite history, please let us know before booking.

I live in a condo/apartment with a dog station, can we use that?

Yes, absolutely! If your building has a private dog wash station, we’re happy to use it — as long as it’s clean, accessible and not shared with other pets during the appointments. If you’re unsure or have questions give us a shout here!

What sizes to you groom?

Currently we groom dogs up to 27kg, but exceptions are always available for those who have the appropriate set-up in their homes. To learn more, contact us here.

How long does a grooming appointment take usually?

Time varies by the size, coat and condition of the dog, but typical grooms are 1.5-2.5 hours per dog.
